My boyfriend is crazy enough to go skydiving. But he has stress related asthma, heart/chest problems, and too much oxygen in his blood.
Would he pass the tests/requirements for it?
If he does should I let him go anyway?
We've been fighting about this for days so I really need help.

First off for those of you who think I'm selfish. I told him I can't stop him....if he really wants. After it was all said and done and he came back okay, I'd be fine. I just want to make sure he's medically fit to go, because he thinks there's no medical requirment.
Second, it'd be nice to hear from anyone who has asthma and if they passed the medical tests or not for this.

Well damn. I'd let him go!!! I wanna go too one day. But if he has all that asthma and whatnot, he may not pass the requirements, so you'll win anyway :P

For a tandem skydive, the tandem master (person you do the skydive with) is going to be in charge of everything from leaving the plane to landing the parachute. Your boyfriend will be 100% under their supervision, so you do not have to worry about him attempting to land a parachute should there be any complications.
If he ever wants to get certified to go skydiving on his own, I would make sure he has at least a few tandems under his belt to make sure he can handle the nerves, etc of a skydive. AFF (Accelerated FreeFall.... the course you complete to get certified) is stressful, and you really don't start having a lot of fun until you have passed the class and can go with your friends or by yourself without any supervision.
PS- in answer to your original question ("should I or shouldn't I let him go skydiving"), should he or shouldn't he have to ask permission? If he's over 18 he can do it without having to answer to anybody. Just let him know your concerns and be upfront about it, but be aware that in the end he is going to do what he wants to do, and don't be shocked when he does. Make sure to EDUCATE yourself and your boyfriend beforehand. Skydiving is a safe sport, and although there is some stress that occurs on the plane ride up to altitude, all of this leaves as soon as you exit the plane, because you are partaking in the most exciting experience of your life.

Any good skydiving outfit should have a general health questionairre. I would for sure contact a physician first. However, skydiving has such a refreshing effect on the body and the adrenaline would have a positive affect in case there was a fear of acute exacerbation of the asthma. I say yes and go from there through the process.

He has to sign this, among other things, before going skydiving: "I hereby state and affirm that I am in good physical and mental health. I further state and affirm that I am not under a doctor's or other health care professional or facility's care. I further state and affirm I am not personally taking any drugs, prescription, or otherwise, including any controlled substances..." ..."I hereby state and affirm that I am not now or ever been under treatment for any of the following: Cardiac or Pulmonary Condition or Disease, High or Low Blood Pressure, Fainting Spells Convulsions or Epilepsy, Nervous or Mental Disorders, Kidney or Related Failures, Problem with Balance/Coordination, Hearing Loss or Impairment, Diabetes, Alcoholism, Back Injury, Drug Addiction or Dependency, Any Orthopedic Problem..."
Skydiving has a lot of risks which include: serious injury or death. Hope I didn't scare you. :s
God bless you :)

do it its a total high. as long as he gets medical clearance you should let him go. If he can;t pass the medical than he is being selfish. Otherwise don't hold him back

Quit trying to be controlling. Also take out a good insurance policy on him.
