There have been studies where plants grew better with music than without music. Different styles of music also had an effect. It's been years since I have heard of these studies, but I would have to say that yes - since music has an effect on plants, and plants are a form of living creature, then death and life around them, and possibly even emotions could have an effect on plant life.
