I see your dilemma!

I would go with budlowsbr. He offers good advice, and leaves the door open to multiple interpretations.

But Bill has a good point - the Deity of Christ is a Christian doctrine that was formulated long before the Biblical anthology was compiled.

Of course, it isn't hard to see where the doctrine of the Deity of Christ came from... The authors of the New Testament used a form of Koine called "Hellenistic Greek," which applied Greek vocabulary to a mostly Hebrew syntax. This made the New Testament read like the Septuagint, with Jesus consistently referred to as "Kyrios," the Septuagint word for Yawei. Unfortunately, this detail is difficult to see in the English. But if you compare a "Hellenistic" work like the Septuagint or the New Testament to a native Koine work like "Roman Antiquities" by Dionysus of Halicarnassus, the difference is startling.

No best answer is worth considering.... the question is just a hair-splitting, nit-picking, stupid Bible scripture translation game anyhow - find a better way to spend your brain power.
