I've been with my boyfriend for 5 years and I really love him I would do anything for him. I have done everything for him and before I got with him I was with an abusive guy and my boyfriend now told me when I first got with him that he would never hurt me. Well about 3 years ago when he got back from over sea's ( he's in the military) things have change. He started Abusing me emotionally and physically and I cant get him to stop what do I do. He tells me he doesn't mean to hurt me that he loves me and that he's going to stop and get some help but he never does. I don't know how much more I can take please help.

You need to put a stop to this NOW. No one has the right to lay a hand on you or harm one hair on your head. There is no forgiveness or tolerance for such acts. Seek out help now. If you're afraid of ending it, look to a friend who will support you or ask for professional help, I'm sure in your country there are special hotlines and help centres for abused women. Above all, NEVER allow this to happen again, otherwise you will soon lose all respect for yourself. NO GOD DAMN PUNK HAS THE RIGHT TO ABUSE YOU.

sorry, but if he's in the military it follows that he believes might makes right and violence solves problems. Break up with him before it's too late and avoid men in such lines of work. Good luck!

you have two options, the safer one is to just leave. If you really love him and want to try you are going to have to be the one to get help for the both of you and you are going to have to push for it.
