I am very curious because I don't drink alcoholic bereverages. I'm a college freshman, ppl here seem to drink quite often. I love to work out, and I don't drink in order to get the best results. I am wondering what ladies think about guys who don't drink. The girl I'm interested in seems to enjoy drinking, so I wonder how she'll view me. What do y'all think? Does the fact that I don't drink make me seem like an effeminate dude?

I never dated drinkers. My husband doesn't drink. Smart guys (and girls) don't get loaded all the time. Maybe the girl is a loser.

I have a lot of admiration for a guy that doesn't drink. You can still go to bars (if your'e old enough) without drinking alcohol so ask that girl out. And don't let peer pressure start you to drink if you really don't want to. No, you're not effeminate. I know a lot of guys that don't drink. BTW I own a bar and some of my favorite customers do not drink alcohol but still join in the fun and I bet they feel a lot better than their friends the next morning!!

I like it better when guys don't drink, but then again, i don't drink either. I don't think that makes you seem effeminate at all. And besides, if you work out, you must have a very masculine body (and that is NOT girly!). Drinking does not make someone effeminate or masculine... do you think of her as a tomboy because she drinks? of course not.
It's too bad that she enjoys drinking... i've found that people who drink seem to like other people who drink too. Most are all 'if you don't drink, don't talk to me'. But maybe she can see past that. Give it a shot! Don't worry about what she will think about you not drinking.

No, it does not make you look like an effeminate dude. there is nothing wrong for a guy who don't drink. why don't you ask the girl that you are interested what she thinks about a guy who don't drink. and see where it goes from there. If she prefers to see someone who does. move on there are a lot of girls out there that don't drink either. good luck.

Respect her decision to have a drink, and let her know you choose not to. If she's the curious type, she'll be interested why and probably respect your dedication to your health. Make sure to let her know you're OK with her choice, but you're not into it. The key, I think, would be to make sure she knows you aren't judging her and you don't mind if she has a drink.
Don't worry about what the other people at school are doing or what they think. If you're happy with your life and your choices and you aren't doing harm to anyone else ... be happy!
Alcohol does not equal Man! Don't sweat it. Plan dates that don't bring up alcohol for a bit if you feel more comfy doing that ... play tennis, go rollerblading, go to the gym. Then, once she gets to know you, she'll like YOU.

I think it is awesome that you are taking a stand. So, if you don't drink, you don't drink. thats what u decided. one thing for sure though, u should never start drinking just so you can get this girl, because if you do, you will never have self-respect again. If she won't take you because you don't drink, she is a waste of time. hey, she might be the most beautiful woman you have ever seen, but what difference does that make if she's trashy? I like it that you don't drink, i can't say that i will never drink, but thats a good decision to make.

I think the fact that you don't drink makes you seem like a really strong and mature (ie. very sexy) person. You don't need alcohol to make you feel cool and confident. I find guys who don't drink to be INCREDIBLY attractive. They just seem to know themselves and know how to have a good time without getting drunk. If this girl doesn't respect you, don't settle and find someone who does!

Not for me, I don't drink too,I drink water when I am in the bar,but I pretend that I am drinking booze,secret between me and the bartender or the cocktail waitress.I have intolerance of alcohol that make me sick that I wish that I would die of the pain in my head and I don't want to missed up my mind. I went to AAA meeting with a friend who has a DUI and wow! these ppl mind are really wasted.Pretend that you are drinking when you are in the bar,with your friends.

You aren't effeminate, just smart. You work out and take care of yourself. It may take a couple years, but when the girls get tired of partying all the time and are looking to settle down, they will be looking for a nice clean living guy like you. Be patient.

Guys who don't drink are bettter than guys who do drink.Don't start drinking. Alchohol can only cause harm to you, and everyone around you. There is nothing good or cool about drinking.
