Not at all. I know several men who have, and the couples are very happy. Although I did not marry a "Russian bride", I did meet my wife as a result of internet contact. I then introduced my best friend to her friend, they corresponded via internet, and will marry soon too.
Think of all the other relationships we form online these days. It's perfectly normal.

Kevin is my best friend and my wife-to-be is an absolutely wonderful woman that he introduced me to. We have not met yet (two weeks from now), but we spend time on the phone every day and are constantly text messaging one another. Long distance relationships between the United States and Ukraine/Russia are not any more unusual than people meeting someone on the other side of the country on Match.com or eHarmony.com. It is a feature of our modern life where we can be in close intimate and immediate contact with someone far away. Kevin and I are best friends and we've actually never even met face-to-face. It's a part of our world now.

If I knew someone who married a russian mail order bride he found online, I wouldn't think anything less of him. That is his choice and I would respect that. Personally I wouldn't do that, but if he did that would be fine with me.
