If he hates you like you say then there could be several reasons. If its the simple one, meaning your good to his dad and don't try to be a mom to him right off the bat then its this. He might think your taking his dad away from him in a way. A son may feel more so that your replacing him as the important one in his dads life. Make sure that he and his son have time for themselves alone. If that's already the case, than may be he feels like your replacing his mom. Try and be understanding, but if things don't get any better, than talk with your boyfriend and have a family discussion to what going on. I hope this helps you.

He may be jealous of your relationship with his dad.
It might be a very good idea for you to understand the relationship between your bf and his son before you get serious about him.
The youngster's dislike (hatred) of you is a serious obstacle to a long-term relationship. Resolve it before you get too deeply involved.

Do you know for a fact he's gay or do you hate the kid? If the kid hates you,drop the boyfriend. It won't work.

Take my advice, ask him! Only he knows...,but my guess is he probably don't care for females. Invite him out to dinner and see what happening in his head. If it is personal, straighten the problem out with him. Good luck.

ask him he's only a teenager or maybe dont ask him. i dislike my stepmom b/c she tried too hard for me to like her. if she would simply leave me alone and not worry about whether i like her or not our relationship would be better...not sure why it is stated that he is gay???? that could be part of the issue..are you judging him subconsciously?
