Or is it still in the works? I believe in evolution but just wondered if it is fact, why is creationism still around?

Once this is done the major religions should fall apart.

If evolution were totally true then you could find fossil evidence of it. But, scientist cannot provide the needed fossils to prove how one animal mutated into a different form of that animal. It would seem that SOMEWHERE we could find absolute evidence of ANY animal's mutative history, but we can't. I believe that GOD used genetic engineering just as we now can do to "skip" generations of mutative forms of animals in order to arrive at a new form of the animal. And if evolution were totally true why wouldn't animals like the coelacanth fish, that was thought to be extinct for millions of years, have evolved into a "better" form? Surely the oceans in which it inhabits have changed in the millions of years since it has been a species. You are telling me that evolution makes sense? And that is just 1 example of how evolution is a bunch of bull.

No there is not undeniable proof of evolution, a simple question, if man evolved from apes over millions of years, there will have been a slow gradual process of change involving possibly millions of living apes/humans and all in between. why has there never been found a fossil etc which is a verifiable 'in between' from ape to man?

"Why is not every geological formation and every stratum full of such intermediate links? Geology assuredly does not reveal any such finely graduated organic chain; and this is the most obvious and serious objection which can be urged against the theory"
C.R. Darwin, Origin of Species, 6th edition, 1872 (London: John Murray, 1902), p. 413.

The theory of evolution is simply that just a theory, but is taught as fact, there is of course no problem with teaching a theory (eg. Einstein's theory of relativity) but it needs to be explained that it is a theory and not a fact.

There are a number of solid proofs for evolution:
- Bacteria that have evolved resistance to antibiotics
- Insects that have evolved to accomodate environments changed by human activity.
- Darwin's finches of the Galapagos.

Remember that the church has a long history of condemning those who introduce new ideas, such as the radical notion that the Earth goes around the sun, rather than being the centre of the universe. At the time, this thinking was deemed a threat, despite solid scientific evidence in favour of it.

Evolution is now no more a "theory" than gravity is among educated people.

God don't have religion, religion is man made.It is a pointer to wards God the lord of all creation.Religious people should not be blind to evolution, and there is undeniable proof of evolution. Evolution is an on going process we are part of this evolution. This is the amazing part of life. We humans are the ones capable to comprehend the wonder of God's creation, and the process of evolution, due to the larger brain. When man reach the depth of his understanding ,religious barriers will brake down ,that will be he new world, which our religion teaches us.

The thing that most creationist folks don't get is while evolution itself is a theory, it is supported by factual evidence (like the fossil record and DNA markers that can be traced) that suggests evolution is the correct theory - or in the very least that we're on the right track. A lot of scientific discoveries started out as fact supported theories that turned out to be dead on. Like the fact that the earth is round and revolves around the sun.

One cannot view the theory of evolution and the idea of creationism in the same light. The theory of evolution is a scientific theory, one that attempts to explain how species adapt. The idea of creationism is not a scientific theory, or anything related to science.

In science, one sees a problem (how did we get here?) and then sets out to use repeatable tests to determine a range of possible answers to the problem. To 'believe in' evolution is to degrade the theory to the level of, say, believing in Santa Claus. One looks at the data, and if it seems to make sense, then one builds from this set of data to continue ones observation and study.

Creationism, on the other hand, begins with its conclusion (God made everything). Rather than using repeatable scientific methodology, creationism seeks to find those bits of information that support its foregone conclusion. This is the opposite of science. This is called 'making a case.' We have all seen how lawyers can make a case for ANYTHING, if they have enough resources and money. If they win in court, that does NOT mean the person they are defending is innocent. It merely means they were able to cloud the issue enough so that the elements of who did what are no longer visible.

Same thing with creationism. To call it a theory, or to refer to it as science, is to relegate science to the realm of fairy tales.

Having studied anthropology in college, admittedly a number of years ago, there are as many gaps in evolution as there are 'links' , 'intellectuals' for the most part accept the theory of evolution as fact because they think to do otherwise brands them as 'less than' smart.

Honest evaluation of the facts will demonstrate that evolution is certainly not an absolute fact, but neither does it 'disprove' it.

A fundamentalist once posed a question that still is not answered, "If man evolved from apes, why are there still apes?"

The science of biology, and all of the ideas of evolution, were developed by very religious people. In fact, many major hospitals in the world are run by major religions, and staffed with people who believe in a higher power as well as our ability to use science to improve our lives. Darwin was not born a Marxist. (Nor would he agree with that religion.)

A realm of Knowledge, where something is knowable, and a realm of Belief, where only Faith can be the guide, are not warring territories. They are the only territories humans have ever operated in. Or ever will.

That's a good question. All scientific theories are always in the "works", because that's how science is. But it has passed so many tests and so much evidence keeps showing up, that as far as our best scientific knowledge is concerned, evolution is absolutely true.

Science does not prove things, it just keeps testing them, and people who want to say it's wrong use that to make it seem wrong somehow.

so a great way as i'm in contact, human beings have a staggering to have self belief despite they choose for to. this is actual that evolution is an theory, besides the undeniable fact that this is subsidized up via medical information, and - like various medical concept - if this is shown incorrect then it is going to likely be discarded and altered via some thing else. yet, as evolution is at present the scientifically-supported concept - and has been so for for this reason long - then, for my area, the thought of evolution might desire to learn in technological know-how instructions. the thought of clever layout might desire to learn in faith instructions, and young toddlers might desire to settle for the extreme questioning skills to return to their very own end approximately which concept is actual. one element the solutions on your question has shown is the aggravating type of folk who have self belief that evolution potential that human beings stepped forward from monkeys, particularly than that human beings and monkeys share a uncomplicated ancestor. this way of potential that folk might desire to income extra approximately evolution, in the event that they're nevertheless making such common errors.
