My last girlfriend broke down crying on new years eve even though I had absolutely no idea why she was crying, or what had provoked it. My question is, is that normal?

It always difficult to tell the real tears from the fake ones they use to try to unbalance us.

yeah hormones can get the best of us sometimes. ESPECIALLY around that time of the month.... something may have hit a sensitive spot and caused her to overreact (emotionally) and it may have NOTHING to do with you...so i wouldnt worry about it. whats important is how you guys are doing now. if everything seems back to normal, then let that incident go, but if it isnt then i would continue to ask her, or at least make sure that it had nothing to do wiht you...bc after all you aint no mind reader!

Okay, womens are emotional, i would cry when my bf is holding my hands, when he kissed me after we are apart for a long time, when he gave me chocolate, coz i never take him for granted, and everything he did for me, i will feel like im on top of the world. And when im feeling lousy, a hug from him will always make me teary eyed, coz i know that i could always show him the true side of me without any fear. Thats me, im a cry baby to my bf..

there are times when women are more sensitive, specially before the start of the period (PMS).if that was the case, nothing much to worry about. if not, find out which memory caused that particular episode of crying.

Is it NORMAL? man of course it aint normal, its ******* weird! But, its also very common. All women are aliens sent here by higer life forms with a dark, twisted sense of humor, whose purpose is to amuse themselves by watching our inter-gender struggles. My suggestion is that if you want a "normal" relationship then go the gay route. Otherwise, welcome to life as a hetero-male.

You should ask her about it. It may or may not be normal for her personally. Just ask what was up because you care.
