All the religions teaches us there was God in the begining, but we have to understand that religions were made after the creation of human being i.e. it is man made, so I can't point out any particular religion the most rational.

Islam is the most rational religion, it derives its beauty and idealsim from its rationality in addressing the societal problems and offering applicable solutions to them.
It combines both practicality and spirituality together forming a set of rational rules that are very much applicablly convenient to humanbeings, its the moderate religion.

I have studied a number of religions. I have to say that Buddhism makes the most sense to me.
But calling Buddhism a religion is almost a misnomer. Buddhism is more a philosophy, a path, a practice, than it is a system of worship.
Read anything by Thich Nhat Hanh for a glimpse into Buddhism. He is a wonderful writer and a truly compassionate person.

I'm partial to Einstein and Buddhism;
"The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. The religion which based on experience, which refuses dogma. If there's any religion that would cope the scientific needs it will be Buddhism...."

I don't think that can be honestly answered since there are fanatics in all walks of life . They can all be relatively rational (with the exception of cults & terrorists ) but all it takes is one bad apple sometimes .

(In my opinion ) It doesn't depend on the RELIGION itself;
the rationality of people following it, is the determinent here...
