my friend is a good guy, hes funny and has a lot to offer, but he isnt great looking, and he has never been on a date, kissed a girl, or had a girlfriend, he is shy. i keep telling him u dont have to be good looking to get girls and i keep tryin to set him up on dates with my girlfriends friends but he wont go...what should i do to help him? also will a girl go out with a guy if they arent attracted to him?

well, the girl should be attracted to the guy on some level, it doesn't have to be physical. If the guy has a great personality, then that might cancel out everything else. If he won't go out, then don't force him. He'll come around on his own time.

Of course a girl won't date a guy they don't like! Not a self-respecting girl anyways! Try hooking him up with ugly girls. People feel more comfortable with people who are one the same "hotness level" they are. That's why pretty people date other pretty people, it's not because they are stuck up it's because they're uncomfortable with people who aren't used to being praised for beauty. It's the same reason lots of rich people date other rich people. People like other people who are on the same wavelength as they are. You get what I'm saying?

I am not that good looking, however I am very funny and I have had no trouble with women. What you need to do is have a social gathering (Party), invite only your single girlfriends and your guy friend. If he is funny and pleasant to be around one of the girls will let him know. This will work if you set it up right. Do not call it a blind date, tell them its a card playing night or CD listening party. The ultimate thing to remember is, He should be the only male allowed to attend the function. It will work unless he is Gay. Look at my pictures at

Physical appearance for me is not that important. Inner beauty is what's important. You find these people very seldom these days. However, your gesture in helping you friend is not a bad idea. Probably your friend's taste with women is different or have you asked him if he is gay or something? Self-esteem and confidence is what he needs. Or better yet ask him to go to a doctor.
