I wouldn't use the word "malignant" - it has a more specific meaning. Here's what's up:

The heart pumps blood through vessels to all parts of your body to bring nutrients and oxygen and take away waste products. But what supplies blood to your heart? The answer: coronary arteries feed the heart muscle itself with oxygen and nutrients while removing waste products.

These coronary arteries are very susceptible to blockage - called atherosclerosis - which is related to cholesterol. This is called CAD - coronary artery disease. It can impair the amount of blood flow to your heart muscle, which can manifest itself as pain (called angina). This often happens on exertion when your heart is working harder and it's demand for blood is higher.

So, having two coronary arteries blocked up is not so good. It means it is more likely for her to have a "heart attack", which is the death of heart muscle due to lack of blood flow. There are many possible interventions they could do, but it depends on how blocked up those arteries are. Certainly exercise and diet changes are important, as are cholesterol reducing medications and a daily dose of aspirin.

Hope this helps.

The purpose of the angiogram was to identify problems with your Mom's heart. Now that the artery problem is identified, the best treatment will be determined and your Mom fixed up. Take care and try not to worry too much.
