My friend almost hugged a waiter last night as he swooped in to get her dishes. She thought he was coming in for a hug but luckily caught herself. Poor guy probably would have had a heart attack. Looked like an Italian papa and she thought he was coming in for a hug. We laughed until we cried.

Tonight I laughed really really hard when I learned that one of my mom's favorite TV shows used to be a show about a rodeo cowboy who solved crimes in his spare time. The concept of that show just struck me really funny and I was crying and laughing until my gut hurt. I apologized to my mom for making fun of a show that she liked. (She likes pretty much any show with horses in it.) The name of the show is "Stony Burke".

I was watching Cartoon Network with my youngest son when he was little. This cartoon came on called Cow and Chicken. The dad got Cow and Chicken a pet. The animal made horrible growling noises and shook the cage it came in violently and Cow and Chicken was afraid of it. Then the dad let the animal out the cage and as it descended down the steps to Cow and Chicken, there was a huge shadow of it on the wall. Then when it got to the bottom of the stairs, it was this little UGLY thing that looked so pitiful. I laughed until I cried. I guess it just caught me off guard.

My friend was showing me this antique burglar alarm his dad had in his house. Well, while showing me how it worked.... it went off. This 30+ year old thing was the loudest thing I have ever heard. Sounded like someone was robbing a bank. Evidently the police had the same idea, as they showed up in force outside his house. After about 45 minutes the thing stopped.... for good, and 45 minutes after that the cops left. I guess I didn't make matters better. Besides explaining the alarm, He had to explain why I was lying on the ground turning purple.
