it contains the same ingredients as the cheap products you can buy at the drug store... benzol peroxide and salicylic acid. so, it works just as well as they do. neutrogena, clearasil, clean and clear, noxema, etc. all have similar products... if you use a cleanser, toner, and vanishing cream every day as you would proactiv, it will work just as well.

i think it really depends on your skin and body. i'm sure it works great for some people, but it didn't do a whole lot for me. it was definitely not worth the money spent.
i think i started using it when i was 15, maybe 14, and i would get a lot of pimples. it didn't help very much with healing pimples i already had, the most it did was reduce the number of new ones i'd get, but i definitely still got more while using proactiv.
what helped me dramatically was going on the birth control pill, diane 35, which was originally created as an acne medication. i was 17, and that's also when i stopped using proactiv because i felt it was useless for me. i still got pimples once in a while on my face, but were much less noticeable, and my back acne was 100% cleared and i've never had a pimple there since.
then a couple months ago i bought a bottle of cetaphil, and the only time i ever get a pimple now is when i'm pms-ing, and the 2 or so i get are hardly noticeable. i love cetaphil! it's the best facewash i've ever used, which was so unexpected for me because it's the least fancy one i've used. it seemed unimpressive until i saw the results.
with my mom, proactiv worked well for her, although she's never had real acne problems, and her body did not love the birth control pill, so like i said before, it probably depends on your body.

Yes, but you strictly have to use as directed for the first couple of weeks. I started using proactive last year and I haven't stopped since. It worked wonders for me and I'm sure it'll do the same for you.

I didnt think I had sensitive skin, but using Proactiv gave me the worst skin of my LIFE!...I had to stop using it and it took a good 3 months for it to clear up. It probably works for some people, but I think its a scam. period. Any old cleanser will do the trick for mild acne.

Proactive the skincare line?
Well, I have some friends that said it works but others said it caused more outbreak.
So I guess it depends on individual. Give it a try and if you are not satisfied, return it.

i think that proacvtive can work for certain people, but you need to find out what kind of skin type you have and then find a regimen that works for you.
