A lot of people think that Armageddon is a complete destruction of the Earth by nuclear war. Upon reading Revelation what were some of your interpretations of how God will bring about Judgement Day? That is...if you even believe in the Bible.

Revelation is not a prediction of how the world will end, it was never meant to be. I have heard some crazy interpretations from this book. It is written in apocalyptic language in which the symbolism can only be deciphered from a good understanding of the old testament. The book of Daniel is written in the same technique. I personally avoided reading Revelation until I was able to speak to a Bible scholar about it. You need to understand what was going on at that time in history to understand its intended audience.

Too many pastors and other religious people have looked in vain for a secret meaning of the end of the world. Cults have formed because of these misinterpretations. Lives ruined because someone was arrogant enough to predict the end of the world.

That's not to say that Revelation doesn't have a message for us today. At a high level, Revelation teaches us that no matter how horrible things get, GOD will deliver us. Jesus will come again in glory as he said He would. We need to stay faithful through these difficult times.

Revelation can not be read and understood on its own like other books in the Bible.

The people who accepts the supreme being of God has felt a revival emotional feelings by the third trinity, Holy Spirit. This is the reason why personal Christianity is strong! The Holy Spirit brings you to the Jesus Christ, and your faith is gather together of understanding God's will. In college your given an assignment to do a thesis on a subject. Therefore, you must read and interview people in order to complete the assignment. The best way to know of the truth of the Bible is read it and pray after wards. If you read the new testament, but don't read revelation, and then read the old testament. You may want reread the gospels of Christ and then assert your attention on scriptures of revelations.

Many people think that Revelations speak of an end of the world, and it don't! It speak of a new world. The Our Father prayers says it, 'on earth as it is in Heaven' Its a new and better beginning. Many people want to be part of better world. Judgment Day is to separate the good from the bad.

God Bless

certain and This maximum ideal answer from grnlow about 2 months in the past sums it up for me... i will not say it any more beneficial advantageous... maximum ideal answer - chosen through Asker this isn't what the Bible says. First, understand that the earth has 2 meanings. a million--is the persons on earth and 2--is the planet itself. What the Bible says about the planet is discovered at Isaiah 40 5:18. God's purpose for making the earth grow to be for it to be inhabited. it is going to continually be inhabited. Then at Ecclesiastes a million:4, "...the earth is status to situations indefinite." indicating it is going to likely be continuously. what is going to be destroyed is the depraved people on earth. Psalms 37:10-11, 29 shows the depraved will all be killed at the same time as the meek or righteous ones see it done. Revelation 21:a million tells the former heavens and earth had "gave up the ghost". this suggests the former order of wickedness present with the righteous. Now the hot heavens and earth, which means the righteous in trouble-free terms are left. it is the reason 21:4 shows demise as no more beneficial. "the former issues have gave up the ghost." 2 months in the past

The Bible tells us that after the tribulation period Christ will reign for 1,000 years on the earth...then the end will come.

It also says that prior to the "end" we will burn our weapons of war...

Isaiah, chapter 2...

1 This is what Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem:
2 In the last days
the mountain of the LORD's temple will be established
as chief among the mountains;
it will be raised above the hills,
and all nations will stream to it.

3 Many peoples will come and say,
"Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,
to the house of the God of Jacob.
He will teach us his ways,
so that we may walk in his paths."
The law will go out from Zion,
the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

4 He will judge between the nations
and will settle disputes for many peoples.
They will beat their swords into plowshares
and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will not take up sword against nation,
nor will they train for war anymore.

Abel said it all. I've studied Revelation and learned what Abel printed for you. It is alot to read, but is well worth the study!! "When I know what the future holds, I can face today". Revelation is a book of warning and hope (hope for the believer only). It's the only book in the bible that God promises a blessing for the person who reads and obeys the Lord. Thanks Abel.

I just read Rev. 6 times in Dec-Jan. It hit me..Why do we complicate this ? God wants to be worshipped and Satan wants to cut in on it. One thing is clear ; God is coming back soon to rule and reign. Read it all but study chap.!9-22,,they are really beautiful. Through the whole book I kept noting : Who you gonna worship? That IS what it is all about! As for the world ending..it is world without end. So many do not see that. keep studying.

The Bible speaks of a number of 'Judgment Days', Judgment for rewarding Christians with 'Crowns' for their efforts on God's behalf, the Judgment of the Nations of the Earth, and others. The most important Judgment of all is made solely by YOU! and this is dealt with at the moment of your physical death.

Revelation accounts that the earth would be totally destroyed except for the return of Christ, who stops the destruction and in due course establishes a millennium kingdom here on this planet.

I think nuclear war is the best interpretation. That would explain why one third of life in the sea died. It would explain why John saw stars falling from the sky.( They were missiles.) It would explain why people hid themselves under the rocks and in caves,( looking for fallout shelter) And it would explain the verse about God destroying those who destroy the earth.

Revelation was written by ONE very old delusional guy, and is NOT prophecy in ANY way. If you were God, would you give ONE man "visions" about how the world would end in order to warn mankind thousands of years before it actually happened? Or would you warn them in a LOGICAL way?
"Revelation" is THE WORST book of the Bible, yet the most important for Christians. You know why? BECAUSE IT SCARES PEOPLE INTO BELIEVING. That is not "faith", that is a spiritual hijacking.
