OKAY..so im about to have a nervous break-down..i havent been out with my friends for 1yr and 6 months..(ever since i've been with my patner) and i havent had time alone with my patner for 6 months(since our son was born)..it is all starting to get to me.. i feel like im going to explode sometimes.. i do all the housework..take care of the baby ..do the shopping..and all my patner does is sit down on the computer or play playstation..even when i go on the net (like now).i still have to keep an eye on my kid because my patner wont do it.
I've told him i need a break otherwise im real close to having a nervous break-down..and all he says is " your alright..you wont have a nervous breakdown relax yourself"

Why would you put yourself through all this? You don't have to stay home and never see your friends. Get a babysitter if your partner wont help out when you want to go out or take a nap. Get a babysitter so you can both go out sometimes. Do it for you. If your partner objects, it's his own problem. You still have the right to go out and see your friends sometimes. You have a right to a break from the baby. He should be helping you every day, but if not, you should still plan a couple afternoons a week out without the baby. Ask friends and relatives to help with babysitting too.

The guys push until they find the limit, though some times by the time they reach your limit you are already out of the door. On the other hand, you chose to have a baby with this man, unfair as he might be, this is the path you chose and your baby seems to be now a burden for you more than a joy? I heard the same story from a friend today and she said that she told her husband that she was leaving him, and this is when he decided to change and be more supportive of her. But when you say this, you should say it in a serious tone, not like nagging. Find a moment when you are not angry or arguing, and just bring it up, say "I want to leave because I don't feel that you are supportive and I need more affection, and attention". Let's see what he says..

give him an altermatum. there is one child in the house and thats the baby. he need to get up and help. u are not a maid. it is his child too so why an't he watch the baby for 1 hour. u are wearing down ur body and stressin. that for health is not good. this man has changed u for the worst, just because he came along does not stop u from being around the people u were there before him. tell him to get off his a** and help you or he can get out. u didn't lie and conceive this child alone. maybe he takes u for granted. if a man can get away with one thing, he will go to the furthest extend until u put ur foot down. this is not acceptable, if he does absolutel nothing.

seems like he doenst understand the situation u are in, and from what u are telling me he seems very young u both seem too young to be parents! or dont even have responsibilities i can tell u are trying ur very best to be a mommy and a good spouse, and ur partner isnt helping at all, and judgiing from the fact u call him ur partner means u guys arent married? anyway, u need to sit him down and have a chat tell him nothing will work if he doesnt at least help u, threaten him, tell him u will leave him if he doesnt help u and contribute because eventually ur relationship will be ruined because of him. so let him know what u are thinking or else he will never know. good luck and take care of urself!

One of my friends had the same problem. She finally got sick of it all, and every other day, or every few days, she runs herself a bubble bath, tells her husband, watch the baby, I am taking a bath. Hands him the baby monitor, or the baby, and goes to her bath. even if he is playing a game, she hands him the baby and takes time to herself.

Start there, and once he understadns why you need a break maybe you guys can plan a night out with one another, and get a babysitter.

Congradulations on the Baby.

thats tough, you will be alright as long as you understand that you have priorities.... BUT he has priorities too, he should help just as much as you do!!! schedule a day for yourself to do whatever you want... tell him that he has to be there to take care of your son all day (if possible) and go out and do things you wanna do for the day, end it by renting a hotel room and get some sleep lol. if that doesnt work, hire a sitter or ask a friend to watch him for the day, you do need your time too!!!!!!

Whoa! What you're enduring isn't cool...and isn't fair.

Is your parent(s) or his parent(s) around? Relatives? See if they will babysit for a while so you can either get some time with your partner or some time for yourself.

If that's not possible, you need to talk to him PRONTO about how you're feeling...and let him know that you're not happy with him not helping out around the home. He should help out more, especially spend time with yall's son. It takes two to make a baby. If you have to, talk to his parents and let them know what he's doing. Maybe they can get through to him.

Best of luck to you.
