I'm just curious here. I just started dating someone. I'm in my middle 20's. I'm a virgin. I'm not hoping for sex quickly or anything. It's just that a friend of mine told me that most people have sex at least within a month of dating, and if not the person might get bored. I know to go at my own pace, I just want to hear feedback from others, get some stats going.

Every person is different, so there is no set time limit for when to have sex. Since you are a virgin, I would make sure that this person is the one you want to remember for the rest of your life as losing your virginity to (and you will remember) Talk with the other person, let them know how you feel about them and how you feel about sex.

It depends not only on the person but on the person they are dating. If the chemistry is really there or there is alcohol involved then it's going to happen a lot sooner. If the chemistry is a bit lacking then it's going to take a lot longer if it happens at all. It's kind of a give and take--have sex too early and your relationship immediately becomes focused on sex which can totally kill it but wait too long and the partner may become impatient and lose interest. My current boyfriend and I had sex a week after meeting and have now been dating for close to a year, so having sex early doesn't always ruin things but I've been in a couple situations where it did. Go with the flow, but don't let the hormones rule you completely--it is your first time. Good luck.

If you're smart you'll wait until you get married, or at least until you're in a committed relationship. Your friend sounds like she is easy. If the person gets bored without sex, you are well rid of him. Use your head.

I would say that your friend's statement that most people have sex at least within a month of dating is fairly accurate, especially in your age range.

wow,you are still a virgin? are you male or female 'cause the profile always looks like a man. I always jump into right away and sometimes it hurts the relationship and sometimes not. I had sex with my bf right now after meeting him one time and we've been going strong for 7 years but I am wild in bed so I guess that doesn't hurt.

0 dates for me but after our first date we humped again..... dont expect anything too great for your first time.....you will last about 5 seconds, so your first time will not be as good as when your doing the 5 knuckle shuffle by yourself. sex is mainly in people heads (not genitals), meaning if you get too excited your gonna blow your load fast and women need to be teased to reach orgasms. I would reccomend reading information from david shade, he will explain things very thoroughly about men and women. good luck and expect a fast ride!

Hey I think that you should do i twhen you feel good and ready to do so. If you rush int somethibg you might regret it later in life. Try to find out if your partner really loves you. Make you first time be magical. You willalways rememer it.

hmh might be some truth to that statement.when me and my husband were dating we waited for a little bit over month, before we got it on.i don`t think he would`ve gotten bored if he had waited longer.we were just both ready to take the next step.

I think there is no set time. Once you start making out you will either stop and say I better get going OR you will say I have to go and keep making out. It just happens
