You tell me. How do you reconcile knowing that someone had to build your home yet believe that no one had to build this universe which is far more complex than your home?
Arbitrarily throw dynamite into a forest and see how many dinette sets appear after the smoke clears. Yet the complexities of life appeared after the smoke cleared from the Big Bang?
Common sense should be enough to state that a complex network such as the universe had to be designed. You can't even create a simple home computer network by just throwing cables against the wall. Some one has to arrange the cables and configure the system. So the "accident in space" theory makes less sense than believing someone with knowledge had to put all of this together.

You are a benevolent father. You love, provide for, and teach your children right from wrong. Then they make choices that bring harm on themselves and others and this grieves you tremendously. You could control thier every action so no one will get hurt, but this will cause resentment. Then what kind of relationship would you have with your children? God gave us freewill. We chose disobedience. This was not the Father's will. But the Father provided a remedy: Jesus.

The more scientist learn about the laws and nature of the Universe, the more I am overwhelmed by the intelligence of our
Creator. Christ taught that mankind's values were and still are in opposition to the eternal values of His Fathers Kingdom. Life on this planet is very temporary. We are put through many tests and suffer much so that we have opportunity to grow in character
and become compatible with the principles of eternal life and life.

Reality is fallen, wounded by an aboriginal catastrophe which has crippled man from truly loving and knowing God. This is what Christians call original sin.
It is the healing of this crippled love that Christians believe is found in the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

God is loving in that He came to the earth as the man, Jesus to suffer and die for the sins that we have committed and then, be resurrected so that we can be resurrected, this is ultimate benevolence..
Actual reality is that God is just in that He will not tolerate sin. Which is why Jesus was sacrificed for us so that we can be blameless in His eyes..

God loves us all. He doesn't want to see anyone die in their sins and go to hell. We have to make the choice not to. That is why Jesus was sent to Earth; To give us an option. God did not bring evil into this world.
God made us as moral creatures. We have the ability to choose. He doesn't normally interfere with our choices, except in rare cases like the Apostle Paul.
What happens, like when little children starve, is not God because He is mean, it is a result of Parent's choices usually.
Why are there wars? Because men choose to start them.
We have choices to make every day and we have to live with the results of those choices.
Like the saying goes, you made your bed now lie in it

The same way the bible does, the bible writers did, the prophets, the apostles, wise men, scientists, and believers over all the earth have since the beginning of time, and finally the same way God does.
Col chap1
For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to RECONCILE all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. 21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has RECONCILED.
2 Cor. chap5
All this is done by God, who through Christ changed us from enemies into his friends and gave us the task of making others his friends also. 19 Our message is that God was making all human beings his friends through Christ. F4 God did not keep an account of their sins, and he has given us the message which tells how he makes them his friends. 20 Here we are, then, speaking for Christ, as though God himself were making his appeal through us. We plead on Christ's behalf: let God change you from enemies into his friends! 21 Christ was without sin, but for our sake God made him share our sin in order that in union with him we might share the righteousness of God.

how do you reconcile a policeman who is also a father?
as a policeman he has responsibility to stop crime by arresting or shooting criminals.

Probably with no greater strain than it takes you to reconcile your need for acute ethical justifications while knowing your mind making them is nothing but pops and fizzles of neural activity within a life created by hapless natural selections.

Which 'reality' are we talking about? The reality that sin has brought devastation to mankind and God sent His Son to free us from sin and it's resultant dominion in our lives.....or the reality that man refuses God's offer of salvation through His Son and therefore sin continues to devastate? Which reality is yours?
