how can sort one column ( as alphabetic) in excel?

I hope all your columns have headings.

To sort one column, select that column, click Data, click Sort.
Name the column heading you want to sort.

Caution: If this is a file of many columns, and you select one column, only that column will be sorted. Be sure this is what you want to do or it could mess things up royally.

If you want to sort the entire file, click the Table Select button (to the left of A, and above #1). The whole file will be highlighted. Now click, Data, Sort. You can sort by any column you name.

In Excel you are able to variety your documents by ability of the colorings of the cells. decide on all your documents then click on variety and decide the column with the colour and decide what you like the two on the precise or backside. All colorings that are an identical are grouped jointly.

If you only want to sort that single collumn, highlight it then use the sort menu.

If you want to sort the whole spreadsheet by the contents of that collumn, highlight the whole spreadsheet then use the sort menu to sort by that collumn.

select the data
click on A-Z
which is in the toolbar
