Not quite size of the nipple and 1 lump is bigger than other. It bothers him that he thinks this is abnormal. He's entering puberty, so is this normal? Is it a gland behind the nipple?

all I know is that, boys that age nomally go through a stage where they feel something lumpy in the nipple area. this lump just goes away after some time. At times, this lump may also be painful. I guess, this is nothing to be scared of. But if his condition freaks you out, try consulting a doctor.

Hi.
If it's serious, consult a licensed health practitioner/holistic health practitioner first, who doesn't use drugs or surgery, and ideally go to 2 or 3 different people for to get different opinions. Figure out what is causing the symptom not what you can do to eliminate or suppress it. He/she will give personalized treatment, not the common doctor prescription.
Stay healthy and happy.

well.. i hit puberty but i must have missed the stage were i felt up my nipples... well.. there are two possible effects.. one is that an infection is present and it is swelling to not allow it to spread... another reasonable answer is that the hormones are perhaps collecting.. it may also be his body trying to equalize itself. He might want to cut down on fatty foods if it remains for a week or two.

Probably just an occluded gland. But make an appointment with his pediatritian. Talk to the nurse, explain the situation and they will probably get you in sooner than if you just talk to the scheduler.

Have you taken him to the doctor to get it checked? It is probably a clogged gland. But I certainly wouldn't leave that unchecked if it were on one of my boys...

I would make a doctor's app't. as soon as possible. I've never heard of that before, so I don't know if it's normal or not.
