It's just my husband and me, but even if I have already eaten by the time he gets home, I really make an effort to sit at the table with him while he eats. We work really different schedules and this is sometimes the only time we get to visit. There was a time that we hardly saw each other awake! I would nap in the early afternoon and get up just before he got home, to cook dinner and be with him for a little while.

Yes we do. Sometimes we don't eat at the table (like Friday night movies, we eat pizza in the family room while watching a movie) but we do always eat together. We work around the schedules so sometimes we eat early or late, whatever it takes to eat together.

Yes! It's a rule in our house. Plus when we are eating and the phone rings we don't answer it. Now if it continues to rings we will in case it could be an emergency. But dinner time is our family's daily together time to talk and see how everyone's day went. We also discuss minor family stuff.

Any time we have family, kids, grandkids, friends or neighbors over we eat at the dinner table. We also have everyone join hands and one person will pray to God and thank HIM for all his goodness to us and ask HIM to protect and bless everyone.

Our kids have told us that they love coming home and it means a lot that we all sit at the table together.

We try to. But since we are older now, and everyone but my youngest brother has a job, its harder for everyone to be home to sit down and eat together. The only time we can is sundays. But a few times during the week we also do. *so there are 6 of us*. The tv is off, the radio is sometimes on and down....but we all talk.

Yes. My parents are born old fashioned, and earing dinner together is one way of having good morals, at least for them. :) And for me eventually. Since the day I was born. And now Im 20 + something and I' m still living with them. We do have strong family ties, guess every asian family does.
