There is no "Church of Rome."
The Church has consistently referred to itself as the “Catholic Church” at least since 107 AD, when the term appears in the writings of St. Ignatius of Antioch
The term "Roman" Catholic is rather recent.
The new Anglican Church in England started using the term “Roman” in the 1500s as one of many ways of demeaning and demonizing Catholics.
Catholics accepted this late coming adjective without too much protest. Today “Catholic” and “Roman Catholic” are interchangeable terms. Both terms are even used in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
The term “Roman” neither increases nor decreases the faith, hope and love of the Catholic Church.
With love in Christ.

lol. I think 'What???' slept through part of his Catholic school education. It was Peter, not Paul. Jesus appointed Peter as the leader of the disciples. And Peter was the first Bishop of Rome. Early on the Bishops in each place were all called "Pope". In 1054 when there was a disagreement between the church at Rome and the rest of the church, the Bishop of Rome, of Pope, became the head of the whole Western church when it split with the rest of the church (which is now the Eastern Orthrodox churches).

The Roman Catholic Church was the oldest known Christian church, and due to this fact it is widely believed that it is the original Church established by Jesus and originally led by Peter, to whom Jesus said something along the lines of "whatsoever you hold true on earth, I will hold true in heaven"
Now, that's not to say that just because the Bible says this stuff it means its true: however, if you are in fact of the Christian faith and, therefore, believe in the doctorines held in the Bible, than the Divine Origin of the Roman Catholic Church can not be denied due to the fact that it predates any other Christian denomination and, therefore, is assumed to be the original. This, however, doesn't mean that the modern incarnation of the mother church is still divine (the protestant religions and other forms of Catholocism broke off, at least in part, due to the corruption and percieved loss of divinity in the Roman Catholic community) , that's a matter of personal faith, but the divinity of its origin is (to Christians) fact.

Jesus founded only one church, the church that was known as Catholic since the year 107 AD.
The same Church that was established by and on the faith of the apostles.
The same Church that was nurtured by the blood of Christ and of the early martyrs.
The same Church that wrote and compiled the Bible.
The same Church that converted the Roman emperor.
The same Church that later converted the Roman empire.
The same Church that later converted most of the known world for Christ.
The only Christian Church that existed for the first 1500 years of modern world history.
The only Church that remains one, holy, Catholic, and apostolic to this day, solely because God wishes it to be so.
The only Church that will remain so until Jesus returns, simply because he promised.
All this is fact ... and it was undisputed until the late day protestant reformers, who with no authority whatsoever, made up their own new and totally original religions, in the 15th century.
They have yet to agree on much since.
Meanwhile, the Catholic Church remains the pillar and ground of the truth, with the same sacred deposit of faith, the same valid sacraments, and the same real presence of Jesus Christ, still freely providing all the best that God has to offer, to all the faithful, everywhere.
Lies? Delusion? Don't believe everything you are told!

The false religion like the Catholic are living in a world of fantasy and dreams if they think that they have this right.
False Religion like the Catholic deceive and mislead people either on purpose or out of ignorance.
Can a Caholic church save you? Catholic church is not a fire department or a hospital.
Many Catholics realize that God did not entrust His church to an organization containing the single largest group of homosexual men in the world.

Yes, there is a "Church of Rome". The pope and his musketeers live there and count all the money collected from poor people.
It is obvious you did not read the bible. The Romans and Jews are the ones who killed Christ. As you should also know, the Romans went to the arenas to watch the lions eat the real Christians.
I urge everyone to visit this site.

We might say the same thing of you... don't believe everything you're told. Catholics are Christians just as much as any other Christian religion. Get over it.

If the Roman Cathos were indeed so pure, where was the need for Martin Luther to establish Protestant faith ? Today protestants outnumber R Cathos.
