Nope it will have no effect. I dont think the pictures have any effect either.
i think they should get more people with cancer on tv.
Scare Them!!
There was a lady called Zita Roberts who had lung cancer she just died on friday and left 3 kids behind.
(she was a friend of my aunty)
Zita did lots of interviews and told stories at school while she was very sick. Apparently lots of people have quit because of her story. (thats what they said on the news anyway)
RIP ZITA.

Everyone already knows this. Parents are the ones that should teach their children not to smoke...not warning labels

I doubt that, my friend just passed away, heavy smoker, but couldn't quit even after her diagnosis, how addicted is that? Don't start and you won't have a problem.

Have you ever realized why cigarette packets carry a statutory warning that 'smoking is injurious to health’? But still millions of both men and women, worldwide continue to ignore this forewarning sign and see their life diminish gradually in smoke. We all know that the smoking and the nicotine content of the cigarette is very harmful for our health, still we smoke helplessly as we are addicted so badly that when we have to smoke, we will smoke. There is nothing-called ethic sense, civic sense, or good psychology that can prevent us to smoke. The 'will' is associated with the short-term effects. Let us see the quick-effects of a cigarette smoke that makes a man physically and mentally dependent on it. These immediate effects encourage a smoker to take a ***. Nervous system and brain activities are quickened for few minutes by the stimulation caused by smoke.
All over the world more than 15 % of death is caused due to the smoking and other smoking inflected diseases like lung cancer, mouth cancer and other various horrible form of cancer or cell deterioration etc. While the smokers enjoy the short-term effects, what about the long-term affects which, most of the time, are irreversible? Smoking actually increases the risk of suffering from life-threatening diseases even if a person quits in the later years of his life. Of course, quitting would at least help to diminish the evil effects of tobacco. Smoking has a permanent effect on the human body even if you have smoked for only five years. Smoking affects directly & indirectly on heart, eyes, throat, urinary tract, sex organs, women's fertility zone, men's sperm production, digestive organs, bones, and joints, skin etc.
Though it's excessively hard to quit smoking, but with the right approach, anyone and I mean anyone can quit smoking. Stop-smoking drug chantix or varenicline tartrate is for the rescue, which has been made available by pharmaceutical companies. The drug has been recently approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Chantix tablets have been approved by U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on May 11, 2006 and sales started in the United States on august 1, 2006. Chantix is awaiting European marketing authorization approval. The course of chantix anti-smoking treatment is 12 weeks, set by FDA and also recommended that patients who were able to give up smoking after that time stay on treatment for another 12 weeks.
Chantix is the best in its league, it is unique, and it not only mimics the actions of nicotine on the brain but can help both in easing nicotine withdrawal symptoms and in blocking the reinforcing effects of nicotine if smoking is resumed. Studies have proved the efficiency of varenicline in both short- and long-term smokers who wish to quit smoking. The drug has three times higher response in people aged 18 to 65 who desire to leave smoking. Chantix by far surpasses the previously available smoking cessation treatments include nicotine replacement therapy, antidepressants bupropion hydrochloride (zyban), and nortriptyline hydrochloride. Patients opting for chantix have twice more likelihood to quit smoking compared to other drugs.
Chantix works by activating the sites in the brain affected by nicotine and provides some nicotine effects to ease the withdrawal symptoms and blocks the effects of nicotine from cigarettes if you resume smoking. Chantix has the potential to diminish the sense of satisfaction associated with smoking. This may help to prevent the cycle of nicotine addiction. Chantix should be taken only on consultation with a doctor to guard against possible side effects and probable drug interactions.
Use chantix exactly as it was prescribed for you. Never overdose yourself or use it for longer periods than recommended by your doctor. The approved period for treatment with chantix is 12 weeks. If the result is positive on the patient, your doctor may recommend a second 12-week course of chantix so as to improve the chances for quitting smoking for a long-term. Chantix should be used with a full glass of water and only after meals. Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is too late or almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take only your next regularly scheduled dose. Never take a double dose of this medication.
Use of chantix may result nausea, headache, vomiting, flatulence, insomnia, abnormal dreams, and change in taste perception. You are advised to take medical assistance immediately if the side-effects last too long. Consult your doctor if you feel uneasiness and discomfort or in cases of persistent nausea for several months. Inform your doctor in cases of sleep disorder and related problems. So all the smokers out there get it very clear that the choice is yours as the count down has begun, quit smoking now or will never be able to do so. Start taking chantix, the world’s best anti smoking drugs. But always remember that ultimately your will power is the ultimate weapon that you have against this evil habit.
