I am. I'm in my 40's and although I'm not terrified of the dark, it does bother me. When I was young, it would spark my imagination and I would imagine scary things. But now that I'm an adult, it's a problem of having difficulty navigating through a dark room when I get up out of bed for the bathroom or if I forgot to do something first, and my cats appreciate not getting stepped on. So a soft nightlight has always been helpful.

maximum folk have some sort of irrational worry, yet consistent with hazard to no longer the degree you have. On a floor point it might desire to be mentioned that we human beings place self assurance in our sight better than the different experience, and for this reason in caveman days without man made gentle being frightened of the dark grow to be needed for survival. and consistent with hazard that worry by some ability labored itself into our DNA and could take hundreds of years greater to artwork itself lower back out. yet on yet another point, over my existence i've got got here across "worry" to be a pleasing difficulty to contemplate. once you fairly start up questioning approximately worry itself, - what reasons it, the way it manifests itself, the way it relatively is used via the media and politicians, all of it's different disguises (such as hatred) and flavors, the way it impacts different human beings, the way it relates incredibly on your existence, why you're frightened of one element and not yet another, the physiological transformations it reasons on your physique, etc. - then you definately start to work out it from a plenty greater attitude. And for this reason i've got self assurance that for the duration of overcoming your worry, the 1st step must be to meditate upon worry. Spend 10 minutes or one million/2 an hour each and daily questioning worry. think of of it in one thousand different procedures, the two because it pertains to you and in a greater experience the way it impacts humanity. think of of your particular fears and worry many times. in case you have religious ideals, how does it slot in with them? purely questioning approximately worry won't eliminate your worry of the dark, yet i'm guessing that when you have spent extremely some time rolling it around on your strategies and watching it dispassionately as in the experience that your have been a scientist examining a trojan horse decrease than a microscope - then i'm guessing you will locate which you will strategies-set your person particular worry in a greater indifferent and purpose way. there's a e book stated as, "mandatory Spirituality" via Roger Walsh which you will prefer to study. that's subject count number is to debate religious truths as they look in numerous religious traditions. And in spite of the reality that that isn't attraction to many, there's a small section - consistent with hazard 5 pages - wherein the author discusses the character of worry and supplies an workout or 2 for coping with it - and that i got here across those pages very informative.
