I smoked a small amount of pot the other day, and I have bloodwork on wednesday. They will be testing me for cholestorol, pregnancy, etc.... This is not something I am terribly afraid of someone knowing, I just want to know if it is something that they have to tell you they will be testing you for.

This bloodwork is needed for me to schedule further doc appt's. Blood sugar, pregnancy, yada yada. I havent had bloodwork in 2 years, and I am having some health issues. I know drugs testing is expensive, but it was just a concern.

Almost assuredly not. I'd expect your tests will include a hemogram measuring white blood cells, red blood cell, and related data, chemistries including blood sugar, electrolytes, kidney function measures, liver enzyme levels and bilirubin, a lipid profile to check your cholesterol and triglycerides, the HCG (pregnancy test) and probably not much more. Unless it's mandated, say, on a pre-employment physical, the most appropriate drug test in most circumstances is still for them simply to ask.

They are performing standard blood work on you. Likely a CBC maybe thyroid, and perhaps a lipid profile. No none of these will test for drugs in the blood, that is a special separate test. so relax and stay the hell off illegal drugs.

Why are they testing you? They usually dont test unless it is needed. Its costly.
