"People born in February, March and April are 5-10 times more likely to be schizophrenic than those born in other times of the year. Those born in April or June are 13 per cent more likely to be anorexic. As for suicides, 17 per cent more people kill themselves if they have a birthday in April, May or June."

This comes from the Jan. 27 issue of New Scientist magazine, a respected publication. What, if any, implications do you think these findings have?

That's really interesting. I wonder if these effects reverse themselves in the southern hemisphere?

By the way, I'm born in October...so I guess I'm one of the healthier ones. :)

Same with blood type.

Have type A - statistically more likely to get smallpox.
type B - Infantile diarrhea.
type O - Bubonic plague.

I was born in June - I'm not suicidal or anorexic. Man, I'm such a nonconformist.

"Being born at certain times of year gives a small but significantly increased risk of problems such as depression, schizophrenia and anorexia nervosa."

are you sure of your 5-10 times more likely? (this is MUCH more than 'small but significantly increased...'

I'm skeptical!
