Help...PLZ!!!?

Question

My dad bought me a Jacket last week from Wal-Mart store by ( not sure Cedit/Dept Card), and i found it too big, I can't wear it and now my dad is in another country for a business. If i return it to the store will they give me cash or they will return the money to my dad's card?
Plz help Thank you!

If you do not have the receipt, then you will get a gift card with the money on that. Then you can spend the money anyway you want to. However, if the item has been on sale in the past 30 days or so, you will only get the lowest price the item has been in that time period.

If it was a debit card they will give you cash!

DEBIT CARD RETURN @ walmart = CASH IN YOUR HAND!!!! I am VERY sure of this!
If it was a credit card the might give you a store credit as they might need the card to credit it back to the account (not sure on that one).

Do not go in there without the recipt as walmart or any other store will give you the current selling price of that item.
Since it was a coat it is easy to assume that it has been discounted once or twice. If you dotn have the recipet you get that sale price for the item, PERIOD!

another option is to tell them that you want to exchange it for something else then you can walk around the store and pick what else you would rather have if you go over by a few dollars then you can pay it or if they owe you less than five bucks they can give you cash for that but they will need your drivers license as there are a certain number of returns you can do at walmart and they use your drivers license (or ID number) to make sure that you arent a frequent refunder!
Be sure to check your recipet and see when it was purchased. There might be a 90 refund or exchange limit (30 days with electronics).
Walmart is one of the friendliest retailers with respect to returns so I dont think you will have ANY problems at all!

If you bring the receipt, they will let you do an even exchange for the correct size, but I doubt they would give you the cash or return the money to the card without having the physical credit card with you.

To be certain, just call Wal-Mart's customer service line and ask.

Do not tell them your Dad used his charge card. That just needlessly complicates things. You paid cash but no longer have the receipt. You will then get cash back or in the worse case, a store credit on a card.
One time I paid with a check and had my receipt. They made me wait a week or two before refunding my money. The guy behind me did not have a receipt and "paid cash". They immediately refunded his money. Go figure.

I am assuming you don't have your dad's credit card. I think they would need that to process the charge back to the credit card. That's what it was like when I worked for Kmart... granted that's been about 6 years.

If we didn't have the credit card to charge back, we gave store credit. We didn't give cash back because we refund with the same method that you paid for the item. If that's not available, then it's store credit.

Your best bet is to call the local Wal-mart and find out their return policy. You will probably need the receipt in order to return the item, but call and ask.

if he paid with credit it will go back on his card if he paid with debit you will get the cash . you also could just ask for a store credit for the price of the jacket good luck.

take the receipt back with you with the card and tell the store if you want the money or to put it back on the card!
