IT certainly is simple if you read, study, and obey HIS WORD. Study these scriptures and see what you think. To become a Christian:
1. We must HEAR GOD’s WORD. - Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
2. We are told to BELIEVE. - To the Prison guard in Acts 16:31 Paul and Silas said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."
3. We must REPENT (turn from) of our sins. - Acts 17:30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent.
4. We are told to CONFESS CHRIST before men. - Matthew 10:32 "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.
5. We are to enter the waters and BE BAPTIZED. - Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
6. We are told to CONTINUE TO BE FAITHFUL until death. - Revelation 2:10b Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
Send me a note if you have questions. I am anxious to hear from you. Have a Great day.

Here you go....same logic.
Why cant we just worship Dog and be a good person with out all of these rituals and prayrs?
i mean there are so many diffrent religions and a majority of them worship Dog but they all have diffrent practices why cant we just be like " all you have to do is worship Dog and be a good person" why cant it be that simple?
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
On the other hand the Hebrew God is only accepted by 3 out of thousands of religions. Christians and hubris go together well and bring the same conclusions.

It IS that simple my friend. Nothing is more simple than serving the God of the Bible. Some Christian churches make it complicated, but it's not.
When God called Abraham out of Ur he didn't give him a list of rules and rituals to follow. In fact, God never gave his people a laws and rituals until they asked Him for some, but this wasn't what He wanted for them.
All God asks is that you seek him.
"Ask and it shall be given you, seek and ye shall find, knock and the door shall be opened unto you." - Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ's message was the most simple (and yet, the most profound) ever preached.

Ritualism, tradition and legalism form religion and religion is man - made. Jesus said that His followers must worship Him in both, "spirit and truth" ! This then, makes the whole Christian relationship one of spirituality and not religion. People are created or born to have a relationship with God but religion and the lack of spirituality has rendered this relationship "luke-warm" or as Jesus said," of none effect because of the traditions of their elders (generation before)" ! People always have to equate their relationship with God based on legalism i.e. "dos and dont's". They feel that their humanistic attempts to fulfil a spiritual law by performing a physical or materialistic action will make him or her right with God. The truth is we are all "evil" and fall short; therefore, we require God's grace ! Because we are saved by God's grace, we do "good works" namely, love to God and then, love to neighbour. It is the love of God in us that is the prime mover - not legalistic acts of self-righteousness. To answer your question, this is why it is beyond most people to let go and let God !!!

Actually, it is that simply. You have pointed out a view that tends to confuse and inadvertly push people away.
There are churches out there where you can worship God and learn about his word, and avoid the ritual and traditions that clout the minds of others. Keep looking around.
By you bringing this issue up shows that you haven't found that church you belong to, yet. I've been there. Take care and God bless your search

The missing ingredient to your reasoning is the need for the penalty of sin to be paid. God will not receive worship and "goodness" from a source that is alienated from Him by sin. Sin separates from God, sin is death (we are dead in sin while we yet live in this body), sin is the "problem." The only way to eradicate sin is through the perfect sacrifice of God's only Son - Jesus Christ. When we accept Christ as our Savior - then sin is eradicated, we are forgiven, fellowship is restored back to the Father and our worship and "good works" are accepted by Him. THAT is why we can't just be "good" people, worship and believe in a Supreme Being (God) and have eternal life - because it does not take care of the SIN problem. Only Jesus sacrifice on Calvary with Divine Blood contained in Human Form could accomplish the sin "Paid in Full" part of the equation. "....that whosoever believeth on Him (Jesus Christ) should not perish but have everlasting life."

Because its NOT simple. Some people think God will punish you and cast u in to a lake of fire and some people think he wont. thus u have two groups. Some people think u must repent and others think God already knows ur heart. Then all kinds of arguments come up thus more groups being split. Thats just the way it is and always will be sadly. But we do all have ONE God we all just have different ideas about who he is.

Because some people need more than that. How come you are happy to get rid of all the different religions, beliefs, faiths, rituals, ceremonies, and prayers that so many people love, but you can't go one step further and get rid of the worship and god that you love?
Why can't we just be good people? Why can't it be that simple?

God calls us to worship. God made all of the diversity. Ask God! Maybe you will find your answer in prayer? Maybe we mortals cannot give you 'concrete' answers. I don't go to Church every Sunday...is it a sin? NO! I have a terminal illness that keeps me from attending church and no I do not feel like a sinner. God is a just God...He shows us a way to live and let's us decide for ourselves which paths we take. He is NOT sitting there ready to smite us at every wrong move we make. You go right ahead and worship God, be a good person, and practice your religious beliefs and be happy.

We can. In Hinduism there are four (general) paths to God. Only one of those is ritual worship. The others are meditation, service, and knowledge. Technically you don't even have to believe in God. (But also technically, there is no such thing as good/evil.... It's a bit complicated.) =D

How would you know how to worship God without the church to guide you?
And why would God go through the trouble of founding a church, if he didn't think it necessary?
Nothing in this world is simple.
