say for instance im seeing this girl and wanting to get her know better right. so we go hang out say at the mall or something. talk and get a conversation going. and if i say that i like her and she says she likes me does that make her my gf yet or do i wait till we go out more than its for real?

No that doesn't make her your girlfriend. You should ask her "so does this mean we're in a relationship now?" or something like, "We should start a relationship.." I duno...something along the lines of that. If she just wants to keep dating to see how things go, then that's okay too. Give it time.

You have to ask her out on a date. Then ask her other dinner would she like to be you girlfriend?
If she says yes then you know you have a girlfriend. If she umms and Arrs then you know she is not that keen and is just using you.

Bro I was in the same exact position ;however, i got out of it. I knew she liked me and i liked her as well. So, instead of being to pushy and asking her out...I took her on 3 dates and soon after the first kiss...then its proper to ask her out.
