There are harmful effects from high consumption of anything.

There are health risks associated with too much caffine. It can put too much strain upon your body because you are not resting as you should due to false energy. You can also get severely dehydrated from too much caffine. You increase your risk of diabetes due to the high sugar content. Not to mention high sugar intake will also rot your teeth. Though, if you switch to the sugar free form I would be worried about the chemical sweetener you are putting in your body. While the chemicals might seem to pose not much of a threat today, we do not know the long term effects because they have not been in use long enough to show all the facts.

I would say that if you are concerned you should follow your instincts and limit your consumption.

First off any type of energy drink is bad for you. Energy drinks' stimulating properties can boost the heart rate and blood pressure (sometimes to the point of palpitations), dehydrate the body, and, like other stimulants, prevent sleep.

well all addictive substances are dangerous. you should try to cut down and eventually quit if you ask me.

Red Bull contains Caffeine and Taurine, bith stimulatives that raise the hearthrate and bloodpressure, and make you feel awake, while actually slowing your reaction speed and dampening brain activity.

Diabetes could play a factor, because of the high amounts of sugar and sodium it contains, also energy crashes. Do not drink that, drink water to clear out your anatomy.
