Hello all

I am trying to edit some JPEGs of mine and I don't know how I can cut off one half of the image and save the remaining half as a full image. (and not one half picture and one half empty space)

Can someone tell me how to do this? I have Adope Photoshop Elements and Paint on my computer.

Thank you very much.

It's called cropping. I don't have Elements, so I'm not sure how you would crop using that, though the option/tool for it should definitely be there. There's no cropping option in MS Paint.

Download IrfanView (very lightweight image editor):

Then Open IrfanView. Open your image in Irfanview. With your mouse select the part of the image you want to keep then hit ctrl + y or go to Edit>>Crop Selection.
Then save =).

Simplest and quickest way for you is to open the file in paint and use the crop tool, you then just select the area you want to save, click cut, open a new paint window and paste. All done.

Your Adobe program will do what you want.
What you want to do is CROP the picture. Look up CROP in the help file to see how to do this. (to crop is very easy)
Practice on a copy of a pic or on a pic you don't care if you mess up while learning.
Have fun!...... good luck
