So this guy that i met several months ago and i have been talking. We went out once and he's really really nice and polite, but nothing is really happening. I'm not sure if he likes me, or if he's just being nice because thats the kind of guy he is.

He was away this weekend, and his friend called me and told me that he wanted to hang out with me, but I'm not sure if it was a joke or not... Basically, what should I do about the situation? How do I move foward, and actually have something come out of this without directly talking or asking him about it?

It could be that he is a nice guy, there's not to many of them out there,so try getting to know him better for starters. And see where the relationship goes.It sounds like you would rather be with a bad boy, instead of someone that will treat you with respect.Woman don't seem to want the romance and manners that some guys have for them anymore.Try moving slow for a change, see where it goes.It could be he is shy, since his friend was the one who told you he wanted to go out with you.It could be an act on his part,or he could be sincere, but you'll never know if you don't give him a chance.

Wait your question is unclear...are you saying that the guys friend called you and the friend wants to hang out? Or did you just mean the guys friend called to tell you that the actual guy wanted to hang out?

Has it occured to you that maybe you aren't really opening up yourself for him to move forward? I think the guy is probably just a nice guy, he may not be used to being with a girl like yourself. You should give the guy a chance to know you but if you guys lack chemistry, let him know how you feel. Just tell him he has been evasive and that you would like him to open up more. If you have not been open yourself though you really cannot expect him to be open. I used to feel as you did, then I realized it may have been because I was not really that open myself! Good luck and I hope I understood your question...

I've been in a relationship like that and it wasn't the best. He seems so shy, shy guys are sweet but not exactly fun to be around. I was witha shy guy before and it seemed like i was the only one in the relationship.
