Martial Arts give advantages to every thing you do in life.

I was incredibly shy at one time and due to my ma experience I can give a speech to the world now without it bothering me. My confidence has gone up. This is just one example of confidence.

Your body is in better shape due to martial arts, which helps you fight sickness and stress.

Spiritually, martial arts gives you patience and concentration. Now this varies with different martial arts. I don't get into Buddah and garbage. There was only One True Master ever, and his name was Jesus.

Without Jesus in your life, you can't have total happiness in anything you do. You are able to practice martial arts because He allows you to. Every breath is through Him.

Martial Arts give you a chance to honor him by keeping your body in shape, flexible, powerful, and strong.

Knowing that He is with you on this journey should give you all the strength you need in everything.

Take Care and God Bless!

Starting freestyle karate has got to be one of the best things I have done in my life.

Since starting I have become alot more confident within myself and feel that in a situation where I had to I could stick up for myself, verbally AND physically.

I became alot more flexible too.

I have mild asthma but since starting freestyle karate has really improved it, and on the breath count thing asthmatics do (you kno wwhat I mean if you got asthma) im scoring above average for people without asthma.

My endurance, agility and stamina have increased.

I also prefer the way my body is now than it was before.

Also in dangerous/threatening situations I feel calmer and more like I can handle things.

If you are thinking of starting a martial arts I wholly recommend it!

the most useful thing i ever learned was how to fall. I have since fallen off my bike 3 times and not hurt myself. I definitely would have been in hospital if i hadn't been doing martial arts.

depends what you want to get out of it.you only get out what you put in.it depends whether you just want to get fit and lose a bit of weight or whether you want it to be a lifestyle.whatever reasons you do it for it has nothing but positives(excepy for the aches and pains and sore back when you get on a bit).it will certainly give you what youve suggested plus the things other ppl have mentioned.it will also help your ability to tell the difference between arrogance, self confidence and bragging as well as right and wrong and many other human traits.
