thats not really my question but that seems to get everyones attention so here is my real q i have a dog i just got her about 4 wks ago she is great except for 2 problems one i am trying to crate train her because she pees like every 20 min and at night she will not sleep or let us sleep she paces around and whines all nite long and she pees and poops in her crate so what do i do to get her to sleep so we can get some rest? i have tried ignoring her i have tried to baby her i try to make her crate a safe place not a bad one and nothing is working i cant let her run lose at night because she will pee everywhere someone help. btw she is 3 yrs old and was use to being kept in a garage where she could pee where ever they just used her to breed...

It's not a health issue, it's separation anxiety. She doesn't want to be alone, she wants to be with you.. You need to work on that part, and while a vet may offer tips it's not anything you can't find online..

okay. i hope your crate has an adjustable panel in it. if so, make the crate only large enough for her to lay down. a dog will normally not pee or poop where they have to sleep or lay down when you have a day off put her in the cage with a favorite toy or something of yours that has your scent on it. leave her in the crate starting at about 30 minutes while you go about doing what you need. let her out and reward her. i reward mine when they go into the crate also. continue to do this off and on throughout the day. Increase it to an hour at a time. this will let her adjust to staying in longer. this method will also help her hold her urine and help strengthen her bladder so she will not go as often. She also might have a urinary track infection and this may be why she does pee so oftern. either take her to the vet with a urine specimen or see if you can just take the specimen to your vet to be analyzed. good luck
