I have been with this guy for a few months now, and I found out he was lying to me about a lot of stuff. How do I get over the disappointment?

It's pretty hard to get over this without closure,,all the questions you might have, like, the why's ? and what's ? but only time can help you get over him and ofcourse keepng your mind busy and moving on and not holding on to the past..and i agree that some woman ( me included) seem to feel that they like the man more when they treat us bad,,but the truth is were just trying to find out if maybe we can fix whatever he finds wrong with us..we seem to forget that we did nothing wrong but chose the wrong kind of man..so dont worry,,time heals all things..men who treat woman wrong do not deserve a second chance..

If he is lying to seemingly enhance his life, past and present, he is in dire need of some help. He is likely suffering from a huge inferiority complex which is putting up a wall which is keeping him down. If you care for him you may want to talk to him about it and perhaps help him get some counselling or consult self help books. If he is not overly close to your heart maybe you can still send him off with some ideas that he does not need to embellish his life to impress people no matter how bad he thinks his life is.

ok lets face facts here. what is there to be disappointed about. you said hes a loser. was he a loser when you were with him. or did he just become one. we are getting older. there arent too many honorable men out there anymore. all they want is, well, you know. you shouldnt be disappointed by this. you made an error in judgement. thats all. now pay attention to what you have learned and try not to let it happen again.

i don't know if you CAN get over the disappointment. You need to get away from him since you know you cannot trust him. Just chalk it up to experience. Time will heal your wounds...and may it not happen to you again! Best wishes.
