My skin itches really bad, all over. Sometimes I scratch so much that it bleeds. I don't know wether it's because of dust or winter dry air, but will a humidifier help me?

I'm having the same problem with my legs right now, and we have a humidifier. I'll say this- they still itch, but not as bad when we have it going. And our house is extremely dry this winter, normally I'm fine. I've had my blood drawn, and it's not allergies- I have no allergies that I know of, and I haven't eaten or changed anything. So get a humidifier, but keep it running- make sure you keep it clean though, and it should help some... but the first person who wrote- I haven't tried that lotion, but am willing to try something more!

Good luck!

Yes, humidifiers do work great. But it's better to combo it with a good, thick, non-scented cream, ie: Cetaphil Cream (not lotion - the cream is thicker). It may be a good idea to visit a dermatologist. When I went last month, I found out that I had eczema and psoriasis and was prescribed topical creams that helped the itching tremendously.

A humidifier is a sturdy concern to have for whilst toddler (or you) gets unwell or stuffy. i might recommend you get one if there's a history of bronchial asthma or hypersensitive reactions on your loved ones, in case you have pets, if everybody interior the kin smokes (despite in the event that they circulate exterior to do it), whilst you at the instant are not making plans on breastfeeding and in case you have not got an air purifier. My son and that i lived with my mothers and fathers till my husband and that i've got been given married, whilst toddler grew to become into 15 months. I had an air purifier in our basement mattress room, in a house with 4 pets, and a history of hypersensitive reactions and bronchial asthma. We ran the air purifier continuously to help sparkling the air and used the humidifier, possibly thrice interior the full 15 months. i'm unsure it may be a necessity nevertheless for the quantity of situations you are going to apply it, except as I reported above, there are pets, hypersensitive reactions and so on.

Don't know about humidifiers, but have you tried Sarna lotion? One of my friends had good results with it for itchy skin.

We have one in each bedroom and one in the family room. We love them. I think the cool mist ones are the best. It just puts a little moisture in the air. You have to maintenance them though or they just shut off. It's not hard and well worth it!
