Depilatory creams just take off the hairs that have grown above the skin, it does not get to the root so the follicle is not damaged. If you wax, it is pulled out at the root eventually damaging the root so the hair will not grown back. If you want permanent hair removal, you have to have it done by laser. Sorry, it is the only really permanent solution. Depilatory creams are good to use though because the hair growing back is softer. I like them and use Veet sensitive. With razors, you get a very blunt, sharp edge so it feels thicker and pokier. Hope this is helpful.

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.
Electrolysis and laser hair removal are “permanent” hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.
