I weighed today and i weigh 149 lbs, I think thats too much, so I want to lose 10 lbs, I'm planning to eat lots of vegetables, drink lots of water, go to aerobics and the gym 3 times per week. With this routine and diet, how long will it take me to lose 10 lbs?

It depends entirely on your overall calorie intake for the days/week. Even if you're eating entirely healthy food, it can be over your caloric limit for the day. You can eat total crap food and still lose weight, if the total calories are under what you need to maintain your body weight (even if not recommended). The gym depends a lot on what youre doing- half an hour of slow moderate cardio and half an hour of weights for the full body is the best routine to burn fat and add tone to the body.

If you cut 400 calories per day out of your diet, which is about equivalent to one candy bar and a can of soda, you could expect to lose 10 lbs in about three months. The more gradual the weight loss is the better the probability you will keep it off

Based on what I was told by my doctor, if you want to lose weight, you really need to exercise more than 3 times a week - more like 5+ times per week.

Beyond that, a lot depends on where you're starting out. If you are already in decent shape, then your workouts will be more intense and more effective from day one. If you are out of shape, it might take you two weeks or so to build up to the point where you can exercise for more than 20 minutes at a stretch - you really need to exercise for a minimum of 20 minutes to have an aerobic or fat burning workout.

Remember, for each pound of fat you want to lose you have to burn 3500 calories above and beyond what you normally burn. This can be done by decreasing your calorie intake and increasing your exercise.

5 weeks if you follow a strict,healthy diet and exercise plan,but if you do some advanced(heart pumping) workouts everyday,than it will only take 2 weeks.
