You're going to pay for shipping for a big bag, so you are better off buying locally and not wasting $ on shipping.

I/D is a prescription diet so no matter where you get it the vet will need to give you a script for it. It is an expensive food so you likley won't find it much if any cheaper. Also be aware that regular pet stores, farm supply stores etc aren't allowed to carry ANY of the prescription foods.

I'm not a Science Diet advocate..it is a crappy food..but in this case it is necassary since it is a prescription diet and is for a very specific need.

I'm not sure if this place has it for sale online but here are some sites you can order food at:

petsmart.com
petco.com
(don't know about this one) kvvetsupply.com

Also I raise shepherds and science diet isn't the healthiest food around. Infact it has fillers and artificial ingredients and aren't as nutritional as others. Many other brands of foods will have the same perscription without the cost tagged on too. Petco and petsmart will have science diet at a lot cheaper than 40$ a bag and other places like walmart will too.

I agree with Susan. Science Diet is overrated - if your dog needs something mild for his stomach, feed chicken and rice. Look into all-natural and even organic brands such as Wysong, Wellness, Flint River Ranch, Merrick, Innova, Evo, Solid Gold - all of these have better ingredience than Science Diet. Raw food is also a better option!

What you save on the cost you will probably pay in the shipping. Petsmart sometimes has sales, sign up for their little dopey store card, you get random coupons for $3 or $5 off sometimes.

it is an expensive food no matter where you buy it but if you buy online you will also pay for shipping. Check out your local farm supply store as they are usually reasonably priced.

That sounds pretty expensive.

Look into Solid Gold dog foods. They are of a very high quality.
