I can easily eat a small bag of baby carrots. It's high in vitamin A, but is too much vitamin A (in food form) bad for you?

Yes, too much Vitamin A is not the best thing. A nurse has told me this (I asked about doubling the Vitamin A in my vitamin intake). Carrots are good for you and it's great that you like a healthy snack, but that's a bit much at one time. What about trying a mix of other veggies, too? Crunchy raw veggies such as broccoli, celery and cauliflower are very good for us, with a bit of low-fat ranch dipping sauce (salad dressing).

Yes, too much of anything can be bad for you. Now this is true, your skin can get orangey from eating too many carrots, but I don't know what that "amount" is. It truly happened to a woman friend of my sister's, a woman in her 40s, who was dieting.

yes...too much betacarotene can be bad for you, turn your skin, eyes and mouth orange and may damage your liver...so if you see yourself start to turn orange, stop eating so many carrots.
(and no this is not a joke...)
