much since then we didnt end the greatest he broke up with me because he didnt want to drag me out of church i didnt want to break up and it broke my heart but i fought for him because that was all i could do my heart couldnt give up that easily he ended up backsliding and stopped coming to church my heart has a burden for him i dont want to see him lost i wanna to try to reach out to him again but this time just as a friend im thinking about sending him a letter in the mail just letting him know i still care for him and i dont want to see him lost? is this a bad idea? i dont want him to mistake it for me trying to get him back?

First of all, Im sorry about your relationship. I know it must be so hard for you to lose him but also still feel responsible for his being "lost". I think it would be nice of you to send him a letter but make it clear you care for him as a friend and just let him know how much you worry about him. If you are straight forward and to the point he will understand you do not want him back. Pray about it. Good Luck to you!
