I would say going out on a casual date several times and asking to see you again. Asking a lot of questions about yourself(the woman) and not bragging about himself. A guy who does not flash or spends money on a date(expecting to hookup). someone who will quickly introduce you to his family and friends. Someone who does not have a lot of baggage and not afraid to share what little baggage they have. Someone who complements you in a "conservative, but clean outfit especailly a dress or skirt" and not when you are wearing tight, sexy clothes. Someone who wants to meet your friends and family. Someone who does not get jealous when you want to spend time with your friends and family.

Generally the guy will try to maintain most of the conversation and steer it into the direction of making a hookup . He won't ask many personal questions such as where do you work because he's not interested in that , he would sooner ask do you live alone . He may ask would you like to have a few drinks and party at my place and listen to some music . Can I buy you another drink ( to lesson her inhibitions). Or he may ask her to an after hours party if meeting in a bar as most of my explanations are geared toward the bar scene. He will generally come on a bit strong for not knowing someone well. That pretty well sums it up .

1. Bimbos are usually extremely insecure because they only want sex. It's true. I like an intelligent girl who's down to earth. 2. Same with party girls. I can understand going to parties and having fun. I can't understand getting completely wasted and making out with a ton of people. I'd go to parties, but I'd know the limits. Usually, party girls don't. 3. That's a personal thing. Guys like different things. I like thinner girls, but if you have a good personality, looks don't matter. Really. 4. My biggest pet peeve is when they try to play their little mind games instead of being straight forward, and then getting mad at guys for not getting it. Us men are literal creatures, which means if women are more straightforward, it will make everything a lot better. That's a promise. 5. Depends on guys. Real men like women who aren't insecure and who have a good personality. Others only look for girls who will let those guys sleep with them. 6. Honestly, just do it somewhat privately, in person, and with courage. If the guy likes you back, that seals the deal. 7. As calm as we may sound, if your friends are talking bad about us, just to make us look bad, we really hate that. Especially when we did nothing wrong. Your feelings are important, but we don't want to be put in a situation where your friends will hate us no matter what. 8. It's not true. Some men do, but those are the ones I warn people to stay away from. 9. I like a girl who isn't insecure, but not bitter. I like an intelligent individual who looks somewhat good, but can make even a boring time entertaining. 10. I don't know, the last girl I met like that got stolen from me, so whatever. I guess I'm still waiting.

Okay I don't want to sound like cosmo mag. There are different sighs for different people. If you have to second guess ourself than chances are hes just trying to hook up. If you have boundaries or are uncertain just ask him! really its the simplest thing and if you are close enough with a guy to be in a relationship than the floor should be wide open for discussion. The key to solving and preventing problems is to be open and talk.

What is the definition of a relationship in relation to time? Any contact is a relation and who's to say what's normal? In our tipsy turvy world everything goes...this is an unanswerable question

When guys are only interested in one thing it shows:
they are always rushing, they have a "history" and a reputation
it also shows in the way he dresses sometimes and the way he speaks.
Try to take things very very slowly if you don't want to seem like you only want to hook up with her
be gentle

If he's being true, you'll just know - be a strong woman and use your intuition. If he's doing things that don't FEEL right, he wants to hook up. A true guy will respect you in any way and form.

Test it out. See if he's willing to wait a bit, take it slowly. If not, chances are he's more into you for hooking up.
