well if youlike him you should take a chance, your friends aren't the one who's going to date him. help him out with the things he don't know, you know sometimes you can't have evrything for example Looks and brains, why do you think models are so dumb beacuse they are beautiful

There are many things to consider here.

First off, it seems that you are mainly attracted to his physical "cuteness". If so, you have to ask yourself if you're willing to get involved with someone just because they're good looking. Are you willing to put up with his stupidity? He might be acting that way to get attention. Does that appeal to you, or annoy you? Prioritize the things you like about him and the things you don't like, and try to figure out what will win out in the long (or short) run.

Second, learn more about why your friends hate him. They are your friends, after all, which should mean that you trust their judgement to some degree. Get them to be more specific about what they don't like about him. Tell them how you feel, and how you are confused. If they're good friends, they'll help you decide what is best for you. In the end, it's you that matters. If you choose, after some serious thinking, to pursue him (or try to get him to pursue you), then they should stick by you.

Hope that helps.

Well, you have some decisions to make. In no particular order:

1. Is cuteness more important to you than brains?
2. Is popularity with your friends more important to you than doing what YOU think is right?
3. Could your friends be actually thinking about what's best for you, or could they be just being snobby about this boy?

Does he have a good personality and not just good looks?
Why do your friends hate him? Does he have a bad reputation with other girls? I don't think you should not like him just because hes stupid but if you just want him because hes cute then I don't think things will go very far.

Are your friends telling you how to run your life. You do what YOU want to do. Sometimes a person can change for the good of all, but if your going to live your life by being told what to do by others. Then your going no where fast. live and learn

If your friends know you very well, they probably have an idea of what is best for you. Looks are fleeting. The person on the inside is who you will live with in the end.

Of course he can be stupid....he's a guy. That comes with the territory. All guys are that way. It doesn't matter if your friends like him or not. They're not going out with him, you are. It's what you think that counts. If you like him, go out with him. If you follow your friends advice now, you might be kicking yourself 10 years from now wondering what "might have been".

Does he treat you well? Does he make you happy? These are the only important things. They should also be the only things your friends are concerned about. If you can say yes to both...he's boyfriend material.

If you like them cute a button and dumb as a rock, then go for it. If you have any respect for yourself, then you can admire the beautiful brainless head from far away.

If you value looks over intelligence.... then you probably won't make an intelligent decision anyways, so what's the point of giving you advice?
