Can a fever cause you to get hives???

My sister has been feeling flu like today and had a fever of 102 and now she has hives...what could this be caused from? Should she go to the E.R.?

I get hives a lot. I have no idea why, they are always on my stomach. I just let them go away.

Your question is in the wrong category, but I'll try to answer anyway. I've never heard of a fever causing hives. How old is your sister? 102 is a pretty high fever, and hives are usually very itchy and uncomfortable. I'd say she needs ER care - probably a shot of Benadryl to get the hives in check and an analgesic to reduce the fever.
