i have a sore on the back of my head?

its been there for about six months and hurts really bad sometimes ...it kinda worrys me why wouldnt the sore just heal ?and go away?

Perhaps an ingrown infected hair that is still under the skin and can't get out.

At worst? Have you been to a warm climate recently? It could be a botfly.

If it hasn't healed up yet, that can be a sign of diabetes.
