I was thinking about getting my husband to be personalised number plates for a wedding gift. But thought I would get a matching set ie:

TL 2007 me
PL 2007 him

Oh, 2007 is the year we will be married in...

Is that a corny gift?

That is very clever and very sweet. I think he will appreciate the thought you put into a gift for him. It's not corny at all, go for it! Congrats on your upcoming nuptials.

Cute, but it could end up being expensive in the long run. I don't know where you live, but in CA, the DMV tacks on an additional $55 per car per year for vanity plates. So over time, that could get pretty costly. I think that your money would be better spent on something more from heart.

That's not a bad gift. Do you have any momentos from the first date that he doesn't know you kept?

Kind of sappy, actually, and frankly, fairly expensive. Why is it necessary that you give him a gift? Just get married.
