i've always wondered, is vomiting in your mouth and swallowing it back down a sign that something's wrong with you? and if not, why do our bodies do this in the first place?

i'm just really curious at the moment, haha

I think what you are referring to is when a small amount of gastric content backs up into you throat or mouth. Usually described as hot or bitter tasting. The technical term for this is water brash. Most people occasionally experience this if they over indulge in food or drink, particularly if they bend over when full. This can be a symptom of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) if it is happening frequently.

No, its just acid reflux, everyone gets it every once and a while.

It's called acid reflux...its very common and you can get medication for it.

um, if i vomit i make sure it exits my mouth. i don't chose to swollow it.
