is there seiously any reason why some guys would rather hook up with attravtive girls rather than being good friends or be an a relationship even if they have a good personality? and is there any sighns i should watch out for these "hookup" kind of guys??

they "hook up" with girls for just that reason.. they want to have sex with them and have no strings attached... b/c everyone likes sex, and some guys don't want to deal with relationships. And the main sign is that they try to get in your pants not long after they first meet you...

this is really weird. cause ive dated some hot chicks and ive dated some overweight women. more than my share. but seriously, i noticed the better they look, they harder the like to play and most of the time the worst their attitude gets. So some guys don't want it if they have to work for it. Playing hard to get only goes so far before you have to say, f this, ill just go to somebody who likes me. Life is too hard to chase around women your whole life. Some women need to just make up their mind and go for it. ive a had a couple of girls stare at me like "what the hell, i wanted to date you" all cause i didn't want to play their game. its a thin line between making guys wait it out to show you have self respect and just plain on playing too hard to get. If most women knew guys were simple, they wouldn't have problems. they just can't grasp, guys are really that simple. what you see is what you get. if i have a daughter ill teach her the trick to guys. make them wait, don't leave them on and if you like them, give them hope. if guy thinks he has no chance with you, and you keep rejecting him. why try for it. Give him a no and maybe we can see what happens, then they stick around to see what happens. its that simple. SORRY I WROTE SO MUCH BUT SERIOUSLY i have to explain it that way so some people can grasp how some guys think. Cause what im reading these ladies are assuming the worse about a guy.

you got some good answers on here but I think there is more than that!!!
A guy will "hook up" with a girl for a few dif reasons....
1. because it makes them feel more like a man.... but when they get some gilr pregnat they are more than likely the ones to run and leave.... Not all of them..
2. They are just dogs... More natches in their belt so to say...
3. I know that some guys do it to have more guy friends... to them the more you have got the more popular you need to be...
4. then you have the ones that (like already said) are just not wanting a relationship but want to play.
There are no physical signs to tell that is what they are out to do but you can tell by the way they act.
like trying toget you to "DATE" them but all they seem to talk about is sex or things that have nothing to do with you..
agian the ones that just meet you and act like they are in love with you....
more like if it's only been a week and he tries to kiss you more than a peck then it could be..
if there are the questions like if i were to kiss you here.... or what would you do if I..... Then something sexually you have reason to question.
If there is some reason that you are thinking he could be one that is just after sex then you need to follow your gut because it is more than likely right.
Stay strong...a nd stick to your grounds... It is sometimes hard to say no if you think you are into that guy but remember that you will have to live with what you do... the power of no does work.... if you are asked to have sex or do something and you in your mind know you dont want to then be strong about it and just say no loud and clear... Never say I don't know or maybe if you know you wont because they will take it as not this second but maybe later.
after you have said no and if he starts to act diffrent or aggressive or upset mad or something like that you need to get away because that is a bad sign that it could turn out to something worse.

its a natural hormonal desire that leads people to think its okay to invade your personal space to furfill their own want
it varies what these people are like but most likely you will find them laid back, partiers, "whatever" attitude, flirty, forward
its more watching out for their moves
say no
and always stay around a close friend
just don't give in or be "easy"
