as far as how it all started.
How can there be more than one version of how we were "created"" This puzzles me as to why "christians, "muslims", etc. can't seem to understand or even WANT to understand this question. Because logically and more importantly, INTELLIGENTLY, there could only be ONE WAY anything TRULY CAN HAPPEN. Not hundreds of ways. Someone is LYING.
This seems to be the basis of all wars which means that their will NEVER, EVER be "world peace".

the first response was that is why we debate. I never hear a debate from fanatics. they usually only insist their version is right. and argue, not debate.

Guru has has made an excellent point as far as "they" all seeeeem to agree on the beginning and can't agree on who the messiah is or will be.
I believe thee Jews are on the right path as far as they don't know. Deeeep down they do know that their is no such thing and none of it is logical anyways. My uncle Cheetah told me so!
That is only my opinion of course!

People create their own solutions then pass them on. Myth and speculation becomes truth, and when contradicting 'truth' collides, differing religions are created. We're now starting to better figure out how things work through scientific studies, and though it should be eliminating some views, they're still fighting strong, since most people can't accept that they're wrong.

Actually the bible (christians,catholic), the qu'ran (muslim/islam), and the torah (jews), all contain the same story of creation. They all say that God created the earth. The religious wars seem to happen because all three disagree on the messiah, of course christians believe Jesus is the messiah, muslims believe its Muhammed, and Jews believe he has not yet come. That is where the confusion comes.
