Why don't you do it like a reddy colour.. so it looks dark.. and then in the light it has a red tinge to it...

or auburn red

OK where ever you are going...sounds to me that she may be afraid to highlight it, because it will bring out the red/ orange. I would suggest going to a high end salon.....ask for highlight that are a shade or 2 lighter than your norm. Or you can do some that are along the same tone as what you have right now.....it you do a box color.....then you will end up going to the salon anyway. You just don't need to go blonde.....a few shades lighter will give your hair dimension and movement.

Don't dye your hair, believe me you will be very sorry. I suggest you highlight it, that would look really great and frame your face. I suggest L'Oreal's highlighting. They used to have a dual color highlighting kit that was really wonderful, I used it for years. You need to read the side of the box for the right color for your hair color. Dark brown hair would look good with dark blonde (dirty blonde) highlights. I am not speaking of "chunks" here, but delicate highlights that look natural, like the sun did it.

Try dying the tips of your hair red if you have long hair, and if you have short hair, then so some streaks of red.

Adding some blonde or light brown highlights on the top layer of your hair will make it pop, too.

They have at-home kits for this at places like Target.

Your stylist shouldn't be protesting what you want done to your hair, either, i mean, it's your head.
But that's just my fat mouth talking. :)

Go to a different stylist or salon. You pay your stylist to color your hair, and it is her job to warn you of any potential pitfalls and advise you, but not make the decision! With your hair, if you want to make any drastic changes beyond dying it a similar color, you need to go to a professional.

I have medium to dark brown hair. My stylist puts in champagne colored highlights and it looks awesome. If your stylist won't do your hair the way you want it, go find someone else. I would not do anything myself, because you could reallly screw your hair up. Find another stylist that is willing to work with you, they are out there.

the lady in the %is warm. besides, to respond to your Q, even however brown is extra uncomplicated in maximum places, her hair isn't adequate to make her seem uninteresting. I advise, despite if each and every woman in the room had brown hair, the gorgeous ones might nevertheless stand out. human beings think of having a extra uncommon hair shade is sufficient to garner charm. "Blondes have extra relaxing",simply by fact the asserting is going. properly, this is relatively purely the "warm" blondes who've extra relaxing. And, this is not simply by fact of their hair shade that they are warm. it relatively is often simply by fact of their different Scandinavian beneficial properties. in case you think of roughly each and every of the gorgeous blondes you have seen, i will promise you they might have a similar point of fulfillment with adult men in the event that they wore a brunette wig. a guy cares extra approximately your hair being sparkling and proper than what shade it relatively is.
